The estate consists of a principal Gothic nine-bedroom house, Bolfracks House, which was erected in the 17th century and enlarged in the 19th century, and 10 additional houses and cottages.

The house was built by the Earl of Breadalbane in the traditional Gothic style and exhibits a number of striking architectural features, which include a panelled reception hall. Polished oak floors, open fireplaces with decorative surrounds and a window seat in the drawing room are just a few of the majestic original elements that have been preserved.

The Croftmoraig stone circle is located within the grounds of the estate. It is one of the most intact groups of standing stones in Scotland, dating back to the third and second millennia. The stones had religious connections and are now a popular tourist attraction.

Bolfracks Estate also has a run-of-river hydro-electricity scheme. The grounds allow for the practice of a wide range of traditional field sports. It also has an organic cattle and lamb farm.

An ornamental garden is currently accessible to the public between spring and autumn. It was established at Bolfracks in the mid-18th century. Significantly developed by the owner, Annie Price, it is among the most extensive and diverse gardens in Highland Scotland. It includes a striking collection of rhododendrons, azaleas, acers, old fashioned roses and an array of herbaceous perennials.

Highland Perthshire is among the most attractive and sought after parts of the Scotland as it offers ample spaces and a diverse selection of lots.

Aston Martin DBR101

This 1956 Aston Martin DBR1 becomes the most expensive British car to be auctioned

Described as ‘the most important Aston Martin ever produced’, the 1956 DBR1 is likely to become the most expensive British car ever when it goes under the hammer at RM Sotheby’s flagship Monterey sale. The auction is scheduled for August 18 and 19 during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance motoring week in the US.

The 1956 racer, which is chassis number one of just five made, is said to attract bids of over £15 million ($20 million) from wealthy connoisseurs. This is closer to the £17 million ($21.7 million) mark of the previously sold 1955 Jaguar D-Type that sold at the same auction last year and currently holds the record for the priciest motor sale at an auction in Britain.

Aston Martin DBR102

The car is described as Aston’s ‘equivalent to the Ferrari 250 GTO and the similarities between the two are undeniable. Both vehicles are built to dominate on the track with the DBR1 making its debut at the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 1956.

Preserved in pristine condition, the svelte frame of the legendary model hides a 3.0-litre straight-six engine packing around 250bhp. In 1959, that was enough to shame all the competition at the Nurburgring 1,000 KM race.

Aston Martin DBR104

This is the first time a DBR1 has ever been made available to the public, so there is already a long line of potential buyers who are eager to own this historical piece. The fact it is chassis number 1 makes this model the most enticing for fans of classic British cars.

RM Sotheby’s describes it as being “immaculately presented down to every last detail, and the most correct of all five examples built, making it the most significant group of Astons to ever come to auction.”

Aston Martin DBR103

The legendary model was retired after the Nürburgring victory in 1959 and has since been in the ownership of the Honourable John Dawnay, future Viscount Downe and Aston Martin Owner’s Club president as well as been part of a number of major collections.

The Corum Golden Bridge Rectangle Watch

Corum‘s iconic Golden Bridge watch debuted in 1980 in its original barrel-shaped case. Last year, the Swiss watchmaker introduced a redesigned version in a more traditional round case. At this year’s Baselworld fair, Corum revealed another variation of its signature Golden Bridge, in a new, Art Deco-influenced rectangular case.

The Corum Golden Bridge Rectangle Watch02

The Corum Golden Bridge Rectangle, like its round-cased predecessor has been designed by Dino Modolo. It boasts an eye-catching baguette-shaped, linear-oriented, manual-winding movement, Caliber CO113. The movement is designed to be visible in the center of the open dial with a high level of engraving and finishes on its 18k gold bridges and plate. It is surrounded on both sides by 18k gold elements that represent six Roman numerals whose curved shapes and rivets resemble the intricate architecture of a bridge. The movement’s timekeeping functions are on full display. The spring barrel at 6 o’clock feeds energy to the escapement at 12 o’clock. Caliber CO113 has a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and a power reserve of 40 hours.

The curved rectangular case sports a grooved winding crown at the bottom – a hallmark feature of Corum’s Bridges collection. Both are made of 5N 18k rose gold and measure 29.5 mm by 42.2 mm. The baton-shaped hour and minute hands are rhodium-plated and faceted. Both the front and back of the watch are covered with nonreflective sapphire crystals. The watch is water-resistant to 30 meters. The strap is made of brown alligator leather with a triple-folding clasp made of rose gold. The price for the new Corum Golden Bridge Rectangle is $36,900.

Yacht Concept Cosmos from Oceanco01

Yacht Concept Cosmos from Oceanco

High-end yacht builder Oceanco is known for some of the world’s most compelling superyachts. The Dutch shipyard recently partnered with leading designers for its newest concept that will take your breath away. The 295-foot Cosmos concept is the result of the collaboration of Luiz DeBasto and Oceanco. It sports a curved, almost sportboat-like superstructure, but its most dramatic feature is the skydeck. Designed to be enclosed in thousands of square feet of glass, the appearance of the yacht will resemble that of a starship. The glass dome will reveal unrivalled views in every direction, allowing for a full immersion with the surrounding environment.

Yacht Concept Cosmos from Oceanco03

DeBasto and Oceanco are both famous for designing concepts that push the boundaries of luxury and comfort. Oceanco’s engineering department carefully studied Cosmos’s feasibility to realize it in a manner that is both functional and daring. Cosmos’s glass panels are enclosed in metal frames for extra support and the frame leans forward to enhance the structural integrity, and to improve the view. The yacht benefits from UV-protected glass, which can be dimmed or even coloured to match guests’ individual preference.

The enclosed skydeck has a flexible layout. Its long lounges in the centre and a piano bar make great use of the many feet of open space between the sole and dome above. An open observation deck with optional Jacuzzi is accessible via glass doors. There is also a large terrace – perfect for alfresco dining. The bow has a helipad for quick getaways, and an infinity pool.

Yacht Concept Cosmos from Oceanco02

Cosmos’s superstructure is much more dynamic and flowing than most modern yachts, making it quite the contrast to the straight-edged, layered look of a traditional vessel. DeBasto has yet to announce an accommodations plan for Cosmos, or performance specs, but BMT Nigel Gee naval architects designed the hull for remote, bluewater voyaging. This means the yacht falls somewhere between a traditional cruising yacht and an explorer. Price is yet to be revealed.

In keeping with Porsche’s reputation for lightweight performance cars, the movement’s barrel bridge is open-worked, which gives the chronograph a lightweight appearance.
