Maltese Falcon is massive 88 meter luxury sailing yacht built by Perini Navi. It is one of the largest yachts in the world, similar to Royal huisman’s Athena and Lürssen’s Eos. Its impressively immense DynaRig powers the Maltese Falcon to record shattering speeds. Three self-standing and rotating masts host fifteen sails for an incredible total sail area of 2400 square meters.

The luxury sailing yacht provides guest accommodation for 12 guests and it features a VIP cabin on upperdeck, full beam Master with King berth, a separate full beam dressing room, private gym on lower deck, and four guest suites that can convert into two enormous VIP suites. The three decks are united by a circular stairway. There is also a sun bathing area and direct access to the cutting-edge wheelhouse, which acts as the heart for the entire vessel.

The yacht has received awards such as Best Sailing Yacht Interior, Most Innovative Sailing Yacht, Best Sailing Yacht Over 40, 2007 Prix du Design and many more.

Maltese Falcon has a maximum speed of eighteen knots and a range of 3,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of fourteen knots. The Italian firm installed the DynaRig technology that electronically trims the sails in the direction of the wind and can furl them into the masts in just six minutes.

For more fun on the water, the yacht is equipped with two RIB tenders, four laser sailing boats, one fourteen foot Castold jet tender, six full sets of dive gear, water skis and snorkelling gear. The Maltese Falcon is without equal in the world.

Cartier celebrates 100 years of the Panthère and creates a 'Royal Collection'

Cartier celebrates 100 years of the Panthère and creates a ‘Royal Collection’

Cartier introduced its first Panthère-inspired piece in 1914, and this year they celebrate the 100th anniversary. The first piece with the panther was a wrist-watch with a diamond case speckled with onyx spots.

Cartier, one of the most popular brands in the production of extraordinary jewelry, has created it’s most extensive Panthère de Cartier collection. The 2014 ‘Panthère de Cartier II’ collection is a remarkable blend of contemporary design and high quality materials. The most impressive is a gold ring whose geometric openwork design depicts a panther with intense garnet eyes.

Besides the 100th anniversary, at this year’s Antiques Biennale in Paris, Cartier will present their Royal Collection. The French jewelry house’s Royal Collection features extraordinary precious stones of exceptional size and quality set in magnificent creations of the finest craftsmanship. Among the spectacular emeralds, rubies and sapphires is a large natural pearl that once belonged to Queen Mary of England, wife of George V., Cartier has transformed the Royal Pearl into a diamond-laced necklace. Weighing an impressive 8.3 grams and measuring 21.82 x 17.6 x 16.4 mm, the pearl is said to be one of the most beautiful ever seen.

The Royal Collection has been created based on themes such as “Stones Queens” focusing on glyptic (the art of engraving gems), “Stones of the World”, which looks at the origins of stone shapes, and “Design is King,” which highlights the optical illusions of stone shapes. “We have always considered the Biennale as an exceptional event. We can not show what we usually present in our shop; our entire collection, which includes more than 100 unique pieces, has been specially created for the occasion,” said Pierre Rainero, Head of Image and Heritage at Cartier.

What if a yacht could fly

What if a yacht could fly?

The Lineage 1000E is the largest aircraft in Embraer Executive Jets collection. Embraer Executive Jets has teamed with SottoDesign Studios to develop an ultra-custom interior design theme, especially for customers who seek a level of luxury and refinement that has been reserved only for the most amazing yachts. The inspiration for the Skyacht One comes from a custom commission yacht called the Thunderbird, built by master boat builder John Hacker in 1939 for George Wittell.

SottoStudios, a design firm, was formed by Senior Disney “Imagineer” Eddie Sotto to extend the limits of what he learned from the artists that worked with Walt Disney. “So what if a yacht could fly?” Sotto asks. “Why should hand-made luxury only exist on your wrist, in an exotic car or on a yacht? With Skyacht™ One, ‘wow’ happens every time you see or touch something.”

The Skyacht One is based on Embraer Executive Jets’ Lineage 1000E, a luxury jet with a range of 4,600 nautical miles. Navigation is the theme of Skyacht One as following the stars led both ships and planes. A planetary Clock lies embedded in a marquetry mural is inspired by the 15th Century Ducal Palace’s Studiolo of Italy and the bulkhead walls are planked and pegged as on a yacht. The main cabin features the Chesterfield Sofa and the Cocktail Bar. 14th Century Star maps were the inspiration for the silk Cellarius Carpeting. Skyacht One’s Master Bath consists even more impressive things. There are ”throttle” inspired faucet with a lit gauge that controls temperature over a walnut and gold sink, and a wonderful bronze mirror.

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse '1 Of 1'

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse ’1 Of 1′

After six Bugatti Legends another special Veyron was revealed at Pebble Beach. Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse ’1 Of 1’ is a custom one-off version commissioned by a customer in Singapore. It takes inspiration from the brand’s historical designs and vehicles.

“For our customers, a Bugatti is an investment in an automotive work of art which will endure for generations. This is why every Bugatti is both unique and absolutely authentic in its technical prowess and stylistic form,” emphasises Achim Anscheidt, Chief Designer at Bugatti. Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse ’1 Of 1’ was presented to the customer next to a Type 44 which was provided by the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard. The colour scheme has been inspired by classic Bugatti models like the 41 Royale, Type 55 and Type 44. Every surface in this grille has been hand polished and it took over 200 hours to create.

The interior features extremely luxurious black leather that is nicely contrasted by yellow stitching on the steering wheel, seats and gear selector. The instrument panel is made of deep-black exposed carbon. Something that makes this car even more unique is definitely customer’s initials inscribed on the front grill, while the Bugatti emblem is visible on the back. The customer’s initials, “PL”, were laser cut. The brand logo, known as the Bugatti “macaron”, is displayed on the rear wing and also inside the car. Its 8.0-litre, quad-turbocharged W16 engine delivers a potent 1200 hp.

No details were given about the car’s price, but I am sure that the new owner had to set aside a few million for this amazing car.

Hennessey Venom F5

Hennessey Venom F5

Named after the Fujita scale’s maximum tornado alert for winds of 261 to 318mph, F5 – the strongest tornado is perfect name for the next Venom. The Venom F5 will have a top speed of 290 miles per hour!

The Venom F5 will be unveiled in 2015, with first deliveries reaching customers in 2016. The company plans to produce 30 examples of the Venom F5, at a price higher than that of the Venom Gt, which currently sells for $1,200,000 (plus taxes). The Venom Gt will continue to be offered, and right now 16 cars of the 29-car production run have been sold.

“We are very excited about this next chapter of the Venom, which brings forth an all-new design that is not only a powerful and unique statement that our clients are looking for, but a vehicle that will achieve even higher performance through improved aerodynamics,” said company president and founder John Hennessey. “We learned a great deal during the development of the Venom GT in breaking the 270-mph barrier, and we bring that experience to this new design as we look toward raising the performance bar even higher.”

The 7.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine has been modified and adapted to produce in excess of 1400bhp. This car will exceed 1,000bhp per tonne in the power-to-weight department. The Veyron SS makes around 630bhp per tonne. The standard Venom GT has a drag coefficient of 0.44, while the F5′s figure will dip below 0.40.

The Venom F5 will feature a GPS-based stability/traction control system that can be pre-loaded with circuit information. This allows the advanced traction systems to read a racetrack and adjust levels of grip according to the surface type, camber and incline. The F5 will be offered with a single-clutch paddle-shift transmission: a dual-clutch ‘box was rejected on grounds of weight and durability.
