The 2015 Indian Roadmaster

The 2015 Indian Roadmaster

Indian Motorcycle is one ot the oldest motorcycle manufacturers in the world, founded in 1901 by George Hendee and Carl Oscar Hedstrom. It is based in Springfield and the first produced model, called 1901 Single, had a 1.75 horsepower engine. Since their early days, Indian bikes were designed with a lot of style and the idea that each new model must push the boundaries to a higher level.
Back in the 1940s, the Indian Roadmaster was the most luxurious model and now America’s first motorcycle company has unveiled the all-new 2015 Indian Roadmaster.

“It has truly been a privilege and an honor for our team to be a part of motorcycling history in designing and reintroducing the Roadmaster, which has such a legendary reputation as the king of luxury touring bikes,” said Steve Menneto, VP of Motorcycles for Polaris Industries.

New Indian Roadmaster is powered by the awe-inspiring and proven Thunder Stroke 111 engine, a 49-degree, air-cooled V-twin power plant mated to a 6-speed overdrive transmission. Inside it is nicely finished with an LED light, a 12-volt power port and carpet lining. Additional storage in the saddlebags, front cowl and lower fairings bring total capacity to 37.6 gallons.

For more comfortable ride, the new Desert Tan seat has more padding than the Chieftain’s unit and features high and low heat. The new Horizon windscreen shape has been modified and it is shorter by three-quarters of an inch but is wider at the corners. This allows the rider to look over the windscreen in the lowest position while still keeping wind off of the body. With additional speakers at the rear, the stereo system is actually the same as the Chieftain.

2015 Indian Roadmaster features high-resolution Anti-Lock Brakes, chrome front and rear highway bars, tire pressure monitoring system, keyless ignition with remote saddlebag and trunk locks, triple power ports, electronic cruise control, advanced infotainment system offering communication, navigation, and bluetooth capability for hands-free multi-device connectivity.
The Roadmaster is available in three colors: Thunder Black , Indian Motorcycle Red and Indian Motorcycle Red with Ivory Cream.

Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo

Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo

Lamborghini has unveiled its new Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo racing mode, designed to race in FIA’s GT3 class. Its specifications are very different to those of the outgoing Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo.

New Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo features an upgraded version of the standard Huracán LP 610-4‘s 5.2-liter V10 engine. The Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo gets a power bump from 602 hp to 620 hp. While the horsepower bump is modest, weight reduction is significant. Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo weighs 2800 pounds and it’s lighter than the standard car, thanks to a greater use of carbon fiber and aluminum and strict motorsports weight reduction. Lamborghini claims the racecar has a power-to-weight ratio of just 4.5 pounds per horsepower.

The redesigned Huracán Super Trofeo was developed in collaboration with Dallara Engineering, with direct involvement by founder Giampaolo Dallara. Next year the car will take part in the Blancpain Super Trofeo series, in all three (Europe, Asia and North America).

The Super Trofeo is rear-wheel drive while the standard Huracán is an all-wheel drive model, as was the previous Gallardo-based race car. “The Huracán Super Trofeo is an all-new car built from scratch with a clear racing concept. We believe it will be as fun for fans to watch as it will be rewarding for our racers to drive,” said Maurizio Reggiani, Lamborghini’s research and development boss.

The Huracán Super Trofeo marks a new benchmark for the race series. This stunning new beast has a very aggressive body kit and it features new front spoiler, a 10 position rear wing for improved downforce, roll cage, central exhaust tailpipe, racing wheel and a large digital display cluster. The front fenders have aerodynamic vents while the car is stepping on black 18-inch wheels with silck Pirelli tires.

Rolex Deepsea with D-blue dial

New masterpiece from Rolex is here. I believe you have already heard about the Rolex Deepsea, but this one is a special edition that celebrates James Cameron’s historic solo dive to the deepest place on Earth. The Deepsea D-blue Dial watch has a unique dial that starts blue at the top and using a gradient goes to black.

The Mariana Trench is the deepest point in the world’s oceans, a whopping 10,908 meters underwater and it was first reached in 1960 by Captain Don Walsh and Jacques Picard in the underwater submersible known as the Bathyscaphe Trieste.

With the support of Rolex and a few other brands, in 2012 Cameron successfully solo dived and subsequently explored the Mariana Trench. The Deepsea Challenger was engineered to withstand depths of up to 12,000 meters and it was attached to the manipulator arm of the Deepsea Challenger submersible which carried Cameron down into the depths of the ocean. This was the first time such an expedition had been successfully attempted.

On the new Deepsea model, the ‘Deepsea’ insignia has been applied in chartreuse, the same color as the submersible vehicle Cameron used for the expedition. The watch is powered by Rolex’ in-house self-winding Calibre 3135 with 48-hour power reserve, a COSC-certified movement and has extreme waterproofness to 12,800 feet. This D-Blue Deepsea features brand’s Helium Escape Valve at 9 o’clock and the same trip-clock crown at three o’clock, two trademarks of Rolex’s mega dive watches. It retains the same 44mm diameter case, with titanium caseback and 5mm thick sapphire cristal as the previous Deepsea.

There is something very interesting about this watch in dark environments. The Chromalight display on the dial pushes back the boundaries of visibility. Its distinctive blue glow lasts up to twice as long as that of standard luminescent materials and the zero market on the bezel is also visible in the dark reaches of the ocean thanks to a capsule containing the same luminescent material.

The Sikorsky S-92

The Sikorsky S-92

The Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is an American aircraft manufacturer based in Stratford, and it was established by Igor Sikorsky in 1925. The S-92 helicopter is the most advanced aircraft in Sikorsky’s civil product line. It was also certified to the most stringent safety requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration and the European Aviation Safety Agency.

Airline configured S-92 helicopters seat up to 19 passengers, with power and endurance that enable fully loaded flights up to 430 nautical miles. The S-92 is multi-purpose helicopter powered by twin GE CT7-8A turboshaft engines. The four-bladed fully articulated composite main rotor blade is wider and has a longer radius than the Sikorsky S-70 and most of the rotor system components aside from the blades are titanium. The S-92 is capable of 190mph top speed for up to 539nm.

The Sikorsky features an active vibration control system. Using vibration sensors and structurally mounted force generators it provides comfortable flight and acoustic levels below certification requirements and also prolongs airframe life by reducing fatigue loads on the aircraft. The stand-up cabin provides the ultimate comfort and safety.
Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin secured a contract to begin building a new presidential helicopter based on Sikorsky’s S-92.

More precisely, in May 2014, Sikorsky was awarded a US$1.2 billion contract to produce the next generation of helicopters used to transport the United States President, Vice President, Cabinet members, and foreign dignitaries. The contract is to modify, test and deliver six S-92 helicopters and two trainer simulators to the U.S. Marine Corps and it will eventually supply 21 aircraft by 2023.

Rolls-Royce developing new convertible

Rolls-Royce developing new convertible

Development of Wraith Coupé-based new ‘open top touring’ model is announced, and it will arrive in mid-2016. New luxury Rolls-Royce will be the brand’s second convertible after the Phantom Drophead Coupe and it will offer a perfect marriage of style and elegance.

“We are currently developing an exciting and thoroughly contemporary interpretation of a pinnacle drophead tourer which will introduce even more discerning men and women to Rolls-Royce ownership,” said Rolls-Royce CEO, Torsten Müller-Ötvös.

The car is already in an advanced prototype stage, meaning that it will be ready to make its first public appearance at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2015. While the company isn’t offering many clues as to what exactly the new model will offer, there is very little doubt that the new car will be a convertible version of the two-door Wraith coupé. If it is a drophead Wraith, then it will very likely include the 623 bhp (458 kW) 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine pumping 590 ft-lb (800 Nm) of torque and its top speed will probably be limited, as is the Coupé, to 155 mph (249 km/h).

Key details about the ultra-luxury convertible, such as U.S. launch timing and pricing, are not available at this point, but I expect that the price will be higher than £250,000 (US$422,000). Rolls Royce has already sold 1,968 cars this year, up 33.4 per cent year-on-year according to its latest accounts. This will be just another luxury drop in perfect collection of one of the most exclusive and elusive brands in the automotive industry.

“The car will build on the success of (the Rolls-Royce) Phantom, Ghost and Wraith by continuing to boldly shape the future of the marque with contemporary, graceful and sensuous styling,” the automaker said. “It will deliver effortless, open-top touring through the perfect marriage of modern Rolls-Royce luxury, style and elegance with an engaging and exhilarating driving experience.”

The estate boasts of the perhaps the best canyon, city skyline and oceanic views, and features 7 bedrooms and 10 baths. It is made of French Limestone exteriors and flooring, and contains 40 ft. Roger Dubuis Excalibur Quatuor

Roger Dubuis Excalibur Quatuor

One of the world’s most exclusive luxury timepieces for sure is the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Quatuor, and it houses the world’s first watch movement with four sprung balances. Roger Dubuis are the only manufacturer that bear the Geneva stamp on each of their watch movements.

The Excalibur Quatuor looks absolutely amazing but it also sounds brilliant because the unique sound emitted is the result of four separate balances each oscillating at 28,800vph, all of which are set at a 45-degree incline. The ticking of a classic watch is now replaced by the gentler sound of truly high precision. Designed by lead Roger Dubuis movement designer Gregory Bruttin, the caliber RD101 movement in the Quatuor is unlike most things you’ve seen before. Calibre RD101 focuses on efficient power flow. There are total of five differentials, three on the gear train, one influencing the winding mechanism, and another on the power reserve display.

As the watch constantly changes position with the motion of the wrist, the precision of a movement is affected by the gravity of the Earth. The sprung balances work in pairs to compensate immediately for the rate variations caused by the changes in position. Wonderful decoration by hand of all the 590 components of the calibre RD101 is a real piece of art. 2,400 hours of work have been invested to bring this watch to life.

As you probably already know that the Excalibur Quatuor is available in two versions, in pink gold and silicon. But now there is a third model in DLC-treated titanium. Its 48 mm case remains light thanks to the use of titanium, and it also exudes an elegance enhanced by the charcoal grey inner bezel ring, circular satin-finish outer bezel ring, Roger Dubuis and Poinçon de Genève inscriptions, along with the rhodium power-reserve indicator and black appliques. Made in a limited edition of 188 pieces, this stunning new model launched specially for Watches & Wonders could be yours for €575,000.

The 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO – On Sale For $64 Million

The 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO – On Sale For $64 Million

The iconic Ferrari 250 GTO was put up for sale in Germany priced at $64 million, and is alleged to be one of only 39 Ferrari 250 GTOs that left the Ferrari factory. If it’s true and the seller gets his asking price the 250 GTO Ferrari could become the world’s most expensive car! It’ll for sure attract the attention of the world’s best collectors.

Last October, a vintage 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO was sold for a record US $52 million to a private buyer. The Ferrari 250 GTO was produced from 1962 to 1964. The car was designed to race with a 3.0 L V12 engine and 300 HP which was perfect for the time it was introduced.

The car sports the familiar combination of red body paint and blue interior. The first 250 GTOs began to sell for over $1 million in 1986 and since then it has grown in value by almost 50 times! Ferrari built only 39 250 GTOs (33 of the “normal” cars, three with the four-litre 330 engine sometimes called the “330 GTO” – recognizable by the large hump on the bonnet – and three “Type 64″ cars, with revised bodywork).

Giotto Bizzarrini designed the car to win World Championships. The sale of the car does include a 19 percent VAT, which would net the government approximately $10 million dollars in taxes. The 250 GTO was one of the last front-engined cars to remain competitive at the top level of sports car racing. Before the advent of vintage racing the 250 GTO, like other racing cars of the period, passed into obsolescence. Some were used in regional races, while others were used as road cars.
The 250 GTO is model that most completely embodies the characteristics of the brand, and that is why it became the most valuable Ferrari.
