MB & F MegaWind Mechnaical Watch

MB & F MegaWind Mechanical Watch

Another fantastic masterpiece launched by Maximilian Büsser & Friends, called the MegaWind Hronological Machine No.3.
„Time and Power – who says you can’t have it all“, is the slogan for this watch. The HM3 is the most successful series from MB & F and their top-selling model collection of all time.
The HM3 MegaWind is the new generation of HM3 that improves on and replaces the first generation Horological Machine No. 3 collection. The rotor, which is designed like a battle-axe, and regulator were placed on the dial side required an inverted movement, which was only possible thanks to two large high-tech ceramic bearings that efficiently transmit time up to the revolving hour and minute cones above. “Mystery rotor”, how MB&F call this rotor, was originally conceived by Stepan Sarpaneva. The reason why they call it like that is because it appears symmetrical but still spins properly like an asymmetrical rotor – this symmetry is really an optical illusion as mass has been shaved off the underside of the blade on one side of the rotor, allowing it to function properly.
The box is made with no less than 50 components made in red gold, with red gold rotor, or made in white gold, with gold rotor coated blue and the cones are made from solid blocks of aluminum.
The MB&F HM3 MegaWind is available in red gold, with matching red gold rotor, or in white gold with a sky-blue rotor.

2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Debuting at the Detroid Auto Show the brand new 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 pretty much stole the show. Autoblog West Coast Editor Michael Harley called it the “highest-performing vehicle the North American automakers have ever made.” It is the first car ever to pair a supercharged engine with cylinder deactivation. Very little have been released about the vehicle other than that the engine will deliver 625 BHP and that there will be two different transmission options – a seven-speed manual and an eight-speed auto specifically designed for the 2015 Z06. It sure looks marvelous.

The Richard Mille RM 056 takes over a thousand hours each to produce. It sits in a neat crystal sapphire case, a very brittle one at that. Even though the price is somewhat aggressive, $1.65 Million, Richard Mille have sold all of the ones they have produced so far.

Royal Huisman Hanuman

Dr. James H Clark reaffirmed his confidence in the Royal Huisman for the third time when he commissioned the Hanuman back in 2005. This time it was a recreation of the legendary racing yacht “Endeavour II”. The rig and mast is made out of composite on this 42.10 m yacht. Below decks interior designer Pieter Beeldsnijder has drawn upon fine traditional materials such as hand-polished French Walnut and period design references to create all the warmth and ambiance of a bygone era, sensitively fused with the high amenity standards of a modern superyacht. This is where sailing gets interesting.

C3H5N309 Experiment ZR012 “Nitro” Black Limited Edition by Urwerk and MB&F

The C3H5N309 is very nifty and peculiar little machine. The movement features obligatory Reuleaux polygon rotors, inspired by the epitrochoid combustion chamber of a Wankel engine. It would be rude to expect anything less from a collaboration of Urwerk and MB&F. I have done an earlier post on the HM5, a watch which also testifies to the adeptness of MB&F.

This particular limited edition of the C3H5N309 is distinguished by its black case (made from zirconium) and black movement. This wristwatch retails for $182,000.
