New York City’s One57 is a prime location on Billionaire’s Row, rising 90 stories above Manhattan with stellar panoramas of Central Park. Earlier this month, developer Extell Marketing Group announced its newest sky castle, 61B, a three-bedroom residence with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the skyline of the famous city. Interior design is the work of interior design firm Jeffrey Beers International. The fully furnished unit spans 4,193 square feet.
Located on the 61st floor, it offers sweeping views of Central Park to the north and city views to the east and south. The design of the unit is both elegant and modern. A separation of space between public areas [the living room and dining room] and the private spaces [bedrooms and bathrooms] has flooded the residence with natural light and created open-plan living. The clever combination of layout, materials, and art, has resulted in fluidity between the kitchen, dining area, and living room.
Warm furnishings and luxurious finishes complete the look of the oasis, which was designed for entertaining. Custom millwork by Elephants Custom Furniture and handmade slipper chairs by Elliot Eakin pair well with Minotti and Kagan sofas.
In the living room, there is a showstopping blue art piece by Christina Watka, slides away to reveal a television screen. A custom dual-sided fireplace separates the living and dining spaces. Black glass mirrors sit on either end of the fireplace to create the illusion that the fireplace continues on in the reflection. The horizontal fireplace is clad with ivory onyx slabs to add warmth to the open space without inhibiting the flow.
The asking price for the modern apartment is $29 million and it comes with access to the amenities available exclusively to the residents of the building. These include 24-hour concierge, indoor pool and SPA, chauffeur and butler.
