BMW unveils new 7 series

The flagship 7 series luxury limousine by BMW has been unveiled as the brand’s most lightweight, high-tech model of 2015. The new car may be facing serious competition on the shrinking market, but its cutting-edge technology and spectacular design are helping it gain momentum ahead of the Mercedes S class, Audi A8, Porsche Panamera and the Tesla Model S.

With a fully-autonomous automatic parking as well as gesture-recognition for volume control and navigation direction – the new 7 series sets new standards in engineering and technology. The model possesses the classic attributes of high-end sedans like status, luxury and comfort, but it boasts added value with more interior ambiance and innovative functionality. With carbon fibre being the preferred material, it has significantly reduced the vehicle’s weight. Another impressive feature is the laser headlights that emit a high beam that reaches 600 meters (almost 2,000 feet). The car can go from 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds thanks to the impressive 320 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque. Although pricing remains to be set, it is expected that the 740i will start at $82,250 and the 750i – at $98,350.

Being the first ever automobile to use gesture controls and an autonomous parking feature, the BMW 7 series is already generating  a lot of buzz with the first cars expected to reach dealershiips in the beginning of 2016.
