Dodge unveils 707-horsepower Charger SRT Hellcat

Dodge’s fastest and most powerful sedan is on a street. Dodge Division of Chrysler Corporation proudly presented its new spectacular 707 hp vehicles. Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is one of the most interesting cars these days that has attracted the attention of people around the world.

Under the hood is the now familiar 707-hp supercharged V8 displacing 6.2 liters. It pumps out 650 lb-ft of torque, can sprint to 60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds and can post a quarter-mile time of 11.0 seconds. It burns through 1.5 gallons of gasoline per minute. The 4,560-pound Charger is slightly heavier than the Challenger.

As in the two-door Hellcat, the engine is paired with the eight-speed automatic transmission. Charger SRT Hellcat also has the biggest brakes in the brand’s history and higher quality interior complete with a touch screen display.

“This is a car that most brands would never bring to market. This is a car that really does not have a business case for it,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand CEO. “Sometimes, you need to disregard the data; sometimes, you need to disregard the focus groups.”

The new steering wheel also features a 360-degree heat element and the whole interior is now sportier with much improved technology that gives the driver maximum comfort during the ride. There is an all-new electronic shifter with a T-handle and 18-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

Driving modes are available as Eco, Default, Custom, Sport and Default, while the Track mode enables the Charger Hellcat to Work at its full potential. The Drive Modes feature is controlled through the Uconnect system and may be accessed by pushing the SRT button on the instrument panel switch bank, selecting “Drive Modes” from the “SRT & Apps” menu or selecting “Drive Modes” from within the Performance Pages menu.

Lamborghini has unveiled its new Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo racing mode, designed to race in FIA’s GT3 class. Its specifications are very different to those of the outgoing Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo.

New Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo features an upgraded version of the standard Huracán LP 610-4‘s 5.2-liter V10 engine. The Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo gets a power bump from 602 hp to 620 hp. While the horsepower bump is modest, weight reduction is significant. Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo weighs 2800 pounds and it’s lighter than the standard car, thanks to a greater use of carbon fiber and aluminum and strict motorsports weight reduction. Lamborghini claims the racecar has a power-to-weight ratio of just 4.5 pounds per horsepower.

The redesigned Huracán Super Trofeo was developed in collaboration with Dallara Engineering, with direct involvement by founder Giampaolo Dallara. Next year the car will take part in the Blancpain Super Trofeo series, in all three (Europe, Asia and North America).

The Super Trofeo is rear-wheel drive while the standard Huracán is an all-wheel drive model, as was the previous Gallardo-based race car. “The Huracán Super Trofeo is an all-new car built from scratch with a clear racing concept. We believe it will be as fun for fans to watch as it will be rewarding for our racers to drive,” said Maurizio Reggiani, Lamborghini’s research and development boss.

The Huracán Super Trofeo marks a new benchmark for the race series. This stunning new beast has a very aggressive body kit and it features new front spoiler, a 10 position rear wing for improved downforce, roll cage, central exhaust tailpipe, racing wheel and a large digital display cluster. The front fenders have aerodynamic vents while the car is stepping on black 18-inch wheels with silck Pirelli tires.

Development of Wraith Coupé-based new ‘open top touring’ model is announced, and it will arrive in mid-2016. New luxury Rolls-Royce will be the brand’s second convertible after the Phantom Drophead Coupe and it will offer a perfect marriage of style and elegance.

“We are currently developing an exciting and thoroughly contemporary interpretation of a pinnacle drophead tourer which will introduce even more discerning men and women to Rolls-Royce ownership,” said Rolls-Royce CEO, Torsten Müller-Ötvös.

The car is already in an advanced prototype stage, meaning that it will be ready to make its first public appearance at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2015. While the company isn’t offering many clues as to what exactly the new model will offer, there is very little doubt that the new car will be a convertible version of the two-door Wraith coupé. If it is a drophead Wraith, then it will very likely include the 623 bhp (458 kW) 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine pumping 590 ft-lb (800 Nm) of torque and its top speed will probably be limited, as is the Coupé, to 155 mph (249 km/h).

Key details about the ultra-luxury convertible, such as U.S. launch timing and pricing, are not available at this point, but I expect that the price will be higher than £250,000 (US$422,000). Rolls Royce has already sold 1,968 cars this year, up 33.4 per cent year-on-year according to its latest accounts. This will be just another luxury drop in perfect collection of one of the most exclusive and elusive brands in the automotive industry.

“The car will build on the success of (the Rolls-Royce) Phantom, Ghost and Wraith by continuing to boldly shape the future of the marque with contemporary, graceful and sensuous styling,” the automaker said. “It will deliver effortless, open-top touring through the perfect marriage of modern Rolls-Royce luxury, style and elegance with an engaging and exhilarating driving experience.”

The iconic Ferrari 250 GTO was put up for sale in Germany priced at $64 million, and is alleged to be one of only 39 Ferrari 250 GTOs that left the Ferrari factory. If it’s true and the seller gets his asking price the 250 GTO Ferrari could become the world’s most expensive car! It’ll for sure attract the attention of the world’s best collectors.

Last October, a vintage 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO was sold for a record US $52 million to a private buyer. The Ferrari 250 GTO was produced from 1962 to 1964. The car was designed to race with a 3.0 L V12 engine and 300 HP which was perfect for the time it was introduced.

The car sports the familiar combination of red body paint and blue interior. The first 250 GTOs began to sell for over $1 million in 1986 and since then it has grown in value by almost 50 times! Ferrari built only 39 250 GTOs (33 of the “normal” cars, three with the four-litre 330 engine sometimes called the “330 GTO” – recognizable by the large hump on the bonnet – and three “Type 64″ cars, with revised bodywork).

Giotto Bizzarrini designed the car to win World Championships. The sale of the car does include a 19 percent VAT, which would net the government approximately $10 million dollars in taxes. The 250 GTO was one of the last front-engined cars to remain competitive at the top level of sports car racing. Before the advent of vintage racing the 250 GTO, like other racing cars of the period, passed into obsolescence. Some were used in regional races, while others were used as road cars.
The 250 GTO is model that most completely embodies the characteristics of the brand, and that is why it became the most valuable Ferrari.

Futuristic BMW with perfect design and brilliant performances has arrived. BMW delivers the first versions of its new i8 sports car. The original Vision EfficientDynamics concept used a three-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, but the i8 makes use of a gas-fired turbo three-cylinder.

There is a three cylinder turbocharged petrol engine mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox cranking out 231hp, then an electric motor that adds a further 131hp courtesy of a 5kW lithium battery position through the spine of the car, so when they are both humming they make 362bhp.

You can also run the i8 as a pure electric. BMW claims the i8 has a pure electric range of up to 23 miles and will do 75mpg maximum on batteries alone. Three basic driving modes are available ranging from pure-electric mode through standard and Sport.

Like the i3 its carbon body sits on top of an aluminium power pod. The i8′s bodywork is crafted from carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic which is underpinned by an aluminium subframe with plastic body panels that are reinforced with carbon-fibre. Inside, the i8 there is more future-tech 8.8-inch display screen for reporting road and engine speed, as well as battery and fuel levels. Standard features include leather upholstery, full LED headlights, professional navigation system, cruise control, front and rear park distance control and head-up display.

Front seat passengers are cocooned in luxury with a tasteful combination of leather and the driving position is low, as is the car’s centre of gravity which benefits its handling. There are two diminutive rear seats, with a pocket-sized boot these seats are better put to use as additional luggage space.

Toyota’s FV2 concept has made its European debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. FV2 is designed to capture the spirit of Toyota’s fun-to-drive philosophy.

The FV2 – which stands for “Fun Vehicle 2″ has a “mood-based” mirrored exterior that constantly moves and shifts colours and patterns. By incorporating technology from the Toyota Heart Project, a research programme that enhances communication between humans and artificial intelligence, the FV2 has been designed to connect to the driver emotionally. “A car must appeal to our emotions. If it’s not fun, it’s not a car,” Toyota president Akio said.

This fantastic futuristic car accumulated driving history to suggest destinations and driving skill information to assist the user.

The Toytoa FV2 is operated by the driving shifting his or her body to intuitively move the vehicle forward and back, left and right. The driver stands while in the vehicle, and shifts his weight to steer. Actually it’s like riding a horse. The FV2 comes with three wheels, and no steering wheel. And once inside, the driver operate the car without lifting a finger — relying on speech-controlled directions instead.

It’s hard to imagine something like this on the street, but it would be definitely more than fun to drive this extremely unusual car.

The four-seater with full-length gull-wing doors is an intelligent vehicle concept. The Nanoflowcell Quant e-Sportlimousine is powered by salt water. Actually, it’s powered by a flow battery that uses a special formula of ionic charge-carrying salt water as its storage medium.

This unusual car is not unusual only because of the gull-wing doors, but primarily because of the flow cell. Quant e-Sportlimousine has a completely different way to store energy. There are tanks of negatively and positively charged electrolyte solutions in the vehicle. The liquids get pumped through a cell stack to produce electricity, which in turn powers the car’s four electric motors. So, four electric motors, one per wheel, draw their power from a nanoFLOWCELL energy storage system which works on the proven principles of the redox flow cell. Nanoflowcell says the flow technology operates with 80 percent internal efficiency.

Its wooden operating controls are also very specific and unusual. Never seen before in automobile control elements, the new sensorFLOW technology provides a extra fascinating visual effect. Once the Quant e-Sportlimousine is activated, the control elements become visible through the natural wood! “The wood surfaces are so thin that a light touch of the finger on the Sensorflow icons triggers the appropriate action,” says La Vecchia. “This innovation allows us use a sustainable material like wood to give you a direct connection to the digital control systems.”

The Quant e-Sportlimousine utilizes four electric motors, that give out a combined maximum output of 680kW (925PS or 912hp) and a normal operating output of 480 kW (653PS or 644hp).

Koenigsegg Automotive AB is a Swedish manufacturer of high-performance sports cars. New Koenigsegg one:1 is one of the most exclusive production car programs ever envisaged.

The Swedish specialists are taking the hypercar to the next mega level. New Agera One:1 is the first production car with a one megawatt of power (1,341 horsepower). The horsepower to kilogram ratio is a perfectly balanced 1:1, so it goes beyond super or hyper and is actually the “world’s first megacar.”

The extraordinary power are generated by twin-turbocharged, 5.0-liter V8 from the Agera R. Redesigned seven-speed dual clutch transmission is connected to the massively powerful engine, and takes a single technician three weeks to build. The seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and electronically-controlled differential makes sure all that grunt gets to the wheels.
Top speed is around 273mph, and it go from 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds, 0-300km/h in about 12 seconds and 0-400 km/h in 20 seconds. The engine is flex-fuel-capable and able to run on gasoline, race fuel, or E85.

Only six examples of the extreme hypercars were built, and they’ve all sold out already. But you’ll be able to buy a form of it. “We’ll have the 2015 Agera up next – essentially a facelift – but it will feature a lot of the One:1 technology: the active chassis, the rear wing, the suspension, everything,” says Koenigsegg spokesman Andreas Petre.

Harald Wester, CEO of Alfa Romeo said: “The all-new 4C marks the return of ‘the great Alfa Romeos’ and represents the purest formation of the brand’s DNA with its supercar-levels of performance and innovation, all while focusing on making the driver an integral part and completion of the machine.” For sure this car is very impressive and looks really great. With all its features, the Alfa Romeo 4C is currently one of the most interesting cars on the market. Let’s take a closer look at its details.

Alfa Romeo 4C will get the 1742-cc turbo four (transversely and mid-mounted) making 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, as well as the six-speed dual-clutch automatic and manual rack-and pinion steering.

This spectacular machine promises an unforgettable ride on the road and in the air! Technically it’s a three-wheeled motorcycle that transforms into a gyrocopter. Pal-V One can reach speeds of up to 112 mph and goes from 0 to 60 in under 8 seconds when driven on the road, and takes just 10 minutes to convert between modes. Personal Air and Land Vehicle (Pal-v) uses an autogyro flight system, with a 230-horsepower gasoline engine spinning a rear-facing propeller and an auto-rotating, retractable main rotor to generate lift. So if the engine fails, the craft still can land safely thanks to the lift generated by its auto-rotating main rotor.

Fly out of a traffic jam is not so simply because Pal-V requires 540ft of runway to take off and 100ft to land. But it flies below 4,000ft, so interfering with commercial air traffic is not an issue. Once the engine stops, the propeller folds itself automatically into the driving position.

A main requirement was to create a land-air vehicle that anyone could use. For that reason, the company has created a 3D simulator so people can practice take-offs, landings, and steering, before getting behind the stick of the real thing. They even simulate many real airports around the world that people might take off from.
