The seats’ head restraints and the steering wheel bear the Ford GT logo. An Ebon-leather wrap can also be found on the instrument panel, pillars and headliner with gold appliqués on the panel, the seat’s X-brace and shift paddles. The Rolls-Royce Vision 100 Concept03

Floating headlamps and blade-edged verticality of the fenders still represent the classic allure of a Royce but the overall design is imposing and visually heavy. The most drastic element change is the square, flat grille. This is surely one way to turn heads on the road and it will, undoubtedly, change the way persona luxury is perceived from now on. In trying to create a fully autonomous and electric vehicle Rolls-Royce has succeeded admirably as the new 103EX demonstrates a seamless and effortless merger of technology, comfort and functionality.

The Rolls-Royce Vision 100 Concept

The car is 5.9 meters in length and 1.9 meters in height in keeping with the respective dimensions of the current Rolls Royce Phantom. It has F1-style exposed wheels connected to the “hull” of the car that appear to allow it to ‘float’ off of the ground. An elongated hood no longer houses an engine but an electric motor, allowing for luggage to be stored through the side. The luggage door conveniently opens automatically upon arrival and closes when the car is locked. The large, upright grille remains present as does the Spirit of Ecstasy, which is now manufactured from glass and illuminates as passengers arrive.

Once passengers step into the Rolls Royce Vision NEXT 100, they enter their Effortless Journey. With the help of an artificial intelligence named Eleanor in honour of Eleanor Thorton – an English Actress and Artist’s Model who was the model behind the Spirit of Ecstasy for artist Charles Sykes. Inside, occupants enjoy a cabin like nothing else before it, with a single sofa at the back of the cabin. The sofa is made of the finest silk and wool and creates one of the most luxurious seating surfaces in an automobile. Global automotive leader Bentley debuted their limited-run Mulsanne model at the Beijing Motor Show. With only 50 vehicles announced to be manufactured, potential owners should line up as soon as possible if they want to own a piece of the unparalleled craftsmanship of Bentley’s workforce.

Mulsanne First Edition

Although pricing still hasn’t been revealed for the latest Mulsanne– the model is expected to increase on the current car’s £229,360 starting price. The sleek styling and superior technology of the new model are elegantly blended and executed in an ultra-luxurious enhanced rear passenger space and driver’s seat. Naturally, Bentley has gone far and beyond to accentuate the recognisable exterior aesthetic of its car but the interior of their new venture is where the true ‘mind over matter’ concept takes form.

Mulsanne First Edition

The engraved Flying B ornament can be found throughout the cabin alongside Union Jack embroidery on the seats and 350-year-old English walnut tree veneer. If this isn’t enough, a strategically hidden vanity kit elegantly emerges from the back of the front seat to reveal a luxurious set, courtesy of Asprey of London.

The pinnacle interior space features reclining seats, a rear compartment sunroof and extending footrests. Extending curtains in a matching ivory colour guarantee the passengers’ privacy and create a uniquely relaxing travelling environment.  On the technology end Bentley continues to rely on seamless connectivity, equipping the on-board Android-powered tablets with its specific interface and over a million of Android applications. Audio and video streaming is possible as well as Internet browsing thanks to the car’s 4G WiFi system.

Mulsanne First Edition

Mulsanne First Edition is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-litre engine, which has 21bhp more than the regular V8, and its torque peaks at 502lb ft. This permits the luxury saloon to accelerate from 0-60mph in just 4.6sec and achieve a top speed of 190mph. The new model combines in itself the exquisite craftsmanship, desire for innovation and powerful individuality of the brand – the qualities that define the luxurious performance of Mulsanne.

Tesla's Model 3

Tesla’s Model 3 Is the Car of the Future

One of the most anticipated cars in 2017 is the newly-announced Model 3 by Tesla. Priced at $35,000 Model 3 is still in the early stages of its conceptual design with very few pictures being released ahead of its presentation in March this year.

The Model 3 is conceived as a sedan in the lower part of the luxury spectrum or in other words – it represents entry-level luxury. Other notable models of this industry segment known as “compact executive” or “small luxury” are the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, priced at $34,000 and $39,000 respectively. Tesla’s chief executive officer Elon Musk compares the Model 3 in size to the Audi A4 – a spacious five-seat sedan with plenty of room and comfortable seating.

Tesla's Model 3

It is expected that the new Model 3 will retain most of the performance and design specifics that are revered as Tesla’s trademark, making gasoline savings just another benefit for the brochure. As a whole, this is the brand’s most important car yet as its aim is to bring the success of the Model S in luxury markets to a wider audience. We remember from the previous Model S sedan that I revolutionized electric cars for the American consumer. With a 0 to 60 miles per hour acceleration within as little as 2.6 seconds—it is faster than most of the world’s most expensive supercars, including Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari and McLaren. The lack of engine in the front part gives Tesla’s cars the highest safety ratings of any car on the road because of the huge crumple zone.

The rear-drive version of the Model 3 will have an estimated range of 215 miles and a bigger battery and all-wheel drive. The interior will be fitted with a 15-inch display for vehicle data and controls. Deliveries will initially be confined to California and shift east as production increases.

Lamborghini Huracán Spyder

Lamborghini Huracán Spyder – The Convertible Of Your Dreams

As if the breath-taking coupe Lamborghini rolled out last year wasn’t enough – in 2016 the brand unveiled a drop-top version of the model. The new Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder is just as efficient, high-performing and spectacular as its predecessor, but with the added elegance of a convertible. Starting price for the vehicle is $262,350, but delivery and extras can easily bring the number to $267,545, which is on-par with competitors Ferrari and Aston Martin.

Lamborghini Huracán Spyder

Despite sharing all mechanical elements with last year’s model, the new car has been redesigned in every single way for the sole purpose of eliminating the roof. This is substantial effort on Lamborghini’s part and one that certainly pays off. It is an intense ride with impressive aerodynamics and aggressive appearance. The predatory look is enhanced by the blackened front grill. Four big wheels are mounted on 20-inch blade-style rims and pushed out to the corners of the car. Buyers can opt for a transparent engine bonnet, which discreetly accentuates the car’s curvature.

Custom colours are available for the ceramic brake calipers and you can even order smattering of carbon fiber accents on the aluminum/carbon frame. The exterior of the Huracán is made of lightweight aluminum and composite, making it a surprisingly light convertible compared to competitors.

Lamborghini Huracán Spyder

The real power of the Huracán Spyder comes from within – it sports the same V10 602-horsepower engine as the hardtop model. The brand has used the all-wheel drive on a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission as well. Drivers are given three drive modes, in addition to launch control; the paddle shifters can be used if you don’t like automatic when changing gears. There is no manual option though.

Top speed is the same as with the coupe – 201 miles per hour with a 0-62 mph acceleration of 3.4 seconds. Both models share the same drag coefficient for wind resistance, which is a remarkable engineering accomplishment.

Geneva Motor Show

The highlights of the 2016 Geneva Motor Show

The 2016 Geneva Motor Show was a true feast for the eyes for lovers of high speed and contemporary, austere designs – the world’s most famous automobile brands all unveiled a new model or concept cars and neither filed to impress.  The show was an amazing combination of luxurious new cars and big announcements for forthcoming technology developments.

It would be difficult to pinpoint only a few of the unveiled models as being the highpoint of the show, but if there were vehicles that stood out for quality, innovation and luxury – we simply have to mention Vauxhall’s GT concept, the Skoda VisionS concept, and the outstanding Bugatti Chiron supercar. Other memorable mentions go to the Aston Martin DB11, Audi’s Q2, the Maserati Levante, the new Renault Scenic and Volvo’s V90 estate. That being said, this is but a fraction of all the road gems that got to see the light of day at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

Geneva Motor Show

Although still in early development, the Vauxhall GT concept generated a lot of buzz for its “forward thinking” design, sleek exterior and powerful engine. The out-of-this-world ‘Human Machine Interface’, or HMI is a revolutionary buttonless system that operates through a central touchpad and voice commands. It will adapt to a driver’s habits and adjust to their needs as time goes.

Geneva Motor Show

Maserati finely unveiled their long-anticipated first SUV – the Levante, which will hit stores later this year at a base price of £55,000. It is a majestic and powerful 4×4, right along the lines of competitors Porsche Cayenne and Range Rover Sport.

Geneva Motor Show

Bugatti definitely made headlines with its newest addition to the Chiron family – a state-of-the-art, futuristic supercar, which will be capable of a top speed of 261mph thanks to a powerful redeveloped 8.0-litre, quad-turbo W16 engine. This new toy will have the steep price tag of £1.9 million and will be manufactured in a limited series of 360 cars.

Geneva Motor Show

Aston Martin introduced the replacement for its famous DB9 and the newer version is every bit as elegant and contemporary as its predecessor. The new DB11 is more powerful, with improved aerodynamics, with stiffer structure and enhanced 600bhp twin-turbo V12 engine. Its announced price is £155,000 and marks a new era for slightly differentiated models for the recognized brand with new cars that are lower, have a sleeker, better-defined shape and state-of-the-art bodywork.
