Sebastian Vettel - The Highest Paid Driver In History

Sebastian Vettel – The Highest Paid Driver In History

The four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel will quit the Red Bull team at the end of the season and join Ferrari. He will sign a three-year deal, and a figure of £50million (approximately $80million) per year has already been reported as the price Ferrari will have paid, making Vettel one of the world’s highest paid driver in history.

Legendary Michael Schumacher, who won five titles for Ferrari, was being paid $31 million per year which puts him slightly in the shadow compared to Vettel’s future earnings. Ferrari has always taken the sport especially seriously, but since 2007, Ferrari hasn’t captured a driver’s title. Ferrari will start a new chapter with a hope that Sebastian would be able to return the title.

“The voice inside me, the hunger to do something new, was bigger. It was not the easiest decision but you have to listen to your heart,” said Vettel.

Winning 39 races and four consecutive championships, Vettel had dominated the sport in recent years. Although not yet officially conformed, for next year likely to sign a large contract is Fernando Alson, the man that Vettel replaced at Ferrari. Another novelty is that the McLaren team will get a new Honda engine next year.

Red Bull boss Christian Horner said: “All I can do is wish him the very, very best for the future. He will still be close to our hearts at Red Bull, but on January 1 he will be a competitor. Obviously Ferrari have made him a very attractive offer.”

“This is a lifelong dream for me. We will get there and the project will be very successful,” said company founder Jerod Shelby.

I am sure that you all remember the previous model, Ultimate Aero which set its record back in 2007 on a public highway in Washington when it was able to hit an impressive top speed of 256.14 mph. At 2010, Ultimate Aero lost the title of the fastest production when Veyron Sport hit a top speed of 267.8 mph.

The Koenigsegg Agera HH and Pagani Zonda HH

The Koenigsegg Agera HH and Pagani Zonda HH

David Heinemeir Hanson is a Danish programmer who created the popular Ruby on Rails web development framework and the Instiki wiki. He has recently attracted a lot of attention with his new car, the Koenigsegg Agera HH which is a dream of many supercars lovers. He ordered a custom Zonda a couple of years ago and earlier this year he took delivery of a costum Koenigsegg Agera.

Based on an Agera S technical spec, with Aricore hollow carbon-fiber wheels, upgraded power and enhanced aerodynamics, the Koengsegg Agera HH is truly the car that leaves you absolutely speechless. It is one of just a few Koenigsegg Ageras currently in the United States.

The Agera S is powered by an in-house developed 1030-hp 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8, with a top speed of 272 mph, while the Pagani Zonda HH features the engine from the rare Cinque (680hp 7.3L AMG V12) and most of the bodywork from the Zonda F Roadster.

The personalized supercars specially made for Mr. HH are finished in Monterey Blue and carbon fibre. Besides the extraordinary external appearance these cars are also adorned by great performances, making the owner even more proud of his perfect cars.

Tushek TS 600

Tushek TS 600

The company from Slovenia, Tushek & Speigel, introduced its all new model T600 at the 2014 Top Marques Monaco. Slovenian supercar startup Tushek has been rebranded Tushek & Spigel and is now based in Austria. The previous model was the Renovatio T500, revealed to the world at the 2012 Top Marques Monaco.

The Tushek TS 600 is an update of the previous T500 and it features a lot of different elements which make it completely unique. The car will be built by hand and can be individually tailored to meet the desires of its buyer. T600 will feature its own V-8 engine, producing 620 horsepower and presumably around 400 pound-feet of torque. Given its relatively modest weight, that translates to an incredible 4-to-1 pound:horsepower ratio.

The company also says the car weighs 2,470 pounds. It is made exclusively from lightweight racing and aviation-spec materials, as titanium, carbon and aluminium.

Production of the car will begin later this year limited to 60 units. But not all 60 cars will be the same, half will be road-going models, half track-only “Pista” variants with an additional 50 horses. Alcantara, leather, aluminium and carbon adorn the interior.

Power is not all the T600 offers either, as its chassis allows it to hold a massive 1.8 G on a skid pad.

Ferrari 458 Speciale A

Ferrari 458 Speciale A

One of the most important shows in the automotive calendar is for sure the Paris Motor Show or Mondial de l’Automobile. This is the event where you can see many world debuts for both production cars and concept vehicles. Some of the best cars presented at this year’s Paris Motor Show were Bentley Mulsanne Speed, Maserati Alfieri, Lamborghini Asterion, Volkswagen XL Sport and Infiniti Q80 Inspiration.

Ferrari also chose to present new supercar at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Ferrari 458 Speciale A is the most powerful convertible ever produced by the Italian manufacturer. Talking about its name we have to mention the additional A which comes from the Italian word Aperta, meaning “open.” Ferrari 458 Speciale A will be produced in a limited edition of 499 units.
Ferrari Speciale A boasts 597bhp at 9000rpm and 398lb ft of torque at 6000rpm. Powered by a 605hp V8, the car rockets from 0 to 100km/h in just 3 seconds. The retractable hard top retracts and deploys in just 14 seconds.

The car was presented in a yellow body with a Blue Nart and Bianco Avus stripe running from nose to tail, an homage to Luigi Chinetti’s legendary American racing team which won many endurance classics in the 1960s in Ferraris. The cockpit has a matching yellow color for the seats along with Alcantara, and the door panels, center tunnel and tread plates will be covered in blue carbon fiber.

Maserati MC12

Maserati MC12

James Edition added a stunning Maserati MC12 for sale. Finished in the distinctive two-tone white and blue, this powerful two-seater costs €1.3 million. Worldwide has been only 50 cars ever build. The car entered production in 2004 with 25 cars produced. This unique 2007 Maserati MC12 has run only 560 miles.

The MC12 exceeded 205 mph at full throttle, sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds. The car is powered by a Ferrari Enzo derived 6.0 litre V12 coupled to a 6 speed paddle-shift transmission. Maserati designed and built the car on the chassis of the Enzo Ferrari. Compared with the Enzo Ferrari which can reach the top speed of 350 kilometers per hour (217.5 mph), the MC12 is slightly different with a top speed of 330 kilometers per hour (205 mph). The MC12 competed in the FIA GT toward the end of the 2004 season, winning the race held at the Zhuhai International Circuit.

The interior of the car is also very unique and it features a mix of gel-coated carbon fiber, blue leather and silver “Brightex”. The body of the car is made of carbon fibre. It has 480 millimetre (19 in) wheels with a width of 230 millimetres (9 in) at the front and 330 millimetres (13 in) at the rear. This a great opportunity to become the owner of this celestial car, which looks fantastic and represents one of the most remarkable Maserati’s achievements.

Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4

Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 Concept Launched

Last week, Lamborghini introduced their newest hybrid super car called Asterion LPI 910-4. They named it after a Greek mythological creature, the “LP” stands for “longitudinal posterior,” while the “910-4″ refers to its combined horsepower and all-wheel-drive train.

The Asterion LPI 910-4 starts with a 5.2-liter, naturally aspirated V-10 engine that outputs a stated 610-horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque and adds a trio of electric motors. Total power when all of the electric motors and the V-10 are working in concert is stated at 910 horsepower. The Asterion LPI 910-4 can reach 62 mph in three seconds flat and a top speed of 199 miles per hour. But it can also drive on electric power alone –for 50km anyway and at speeds of up to 125km/h.

“Lamborghini continues to focus on weight reduction as a means to reducing CO2, for example through the investment in carbon fiber engineering, which also contributes to our quest for the best super sports car handling and performance.”

“To significantly reduce emissions on a car in this moment however, plug-in electrification is the best option for us, because for Lamborghini such a car must still provide a truly emotional driving experience,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

The design of the car is very powerful and its curved nose evokes memories of the Miura and 400GT.

McLaren 625C

McLaren 625C

McLaren introduced its first regionally tailored model exclusively for the Asian market. The 625C ( ‘C’ standing for ‘Club’ ) is a slightly less powerful version of the 650S set to be offered in both coupe and spider versions.

The 625C is powered by McLaren’s familiar 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine outputting 625 HP (460 kW) at 7,250 rpm and 610 Nm (450 lb-ft) of torque between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm. The company says it has “an increased focus on day-to-day usability and comfort”. The 625C is equipped with new dampers and a revised suspension setup (including softer spring rates at the rear). There are also new brakes, which are cast-iron discs instead of the carbon fiber-ceramic units found on the 650S.

The car looks pretty much the same as its powerful predecessor 650S. The front end is inspired by McLaren’s new hybrid supercar. McLaren 625C will hit 62mph in 3.1 seconds that’s 0.1 of a second slower than a 650S, while the top speed remains the same at 207mph.

Both coupe and spider versions of the 625C will go on sale, and the model will initially launch in Hong Kong, and other countries in the Asia Pacific region will get the cars in the following months.
