Winner in the 2014 International Yacht & Aviation Awards in the Exterior design category

Once again, a great team and excellent design push the boundaries. The Technicon Design France team received an award for their IXION windowless jet concept. They came up with ideas on how to make your flight even more exciting.

“We quickly settled on the controversial yet interesting idea of removing the windows from the cabin and using existing or very near future technology to display the exterior environment to the inside surfaces of the cabin via external cameras,” says Gareth Davies, Design Director at Technicon’s French Studio. “Removing the windows allows for weight reduction, simplifies construction and opens up an enormous spectrum of possibilities for interior design. We wanted to couple this with amorphous solar panels which power the low voltage systems on board and thus offer a unique visual dynamic for the exterior.”

To demonstrate Technicon’s creative design, digital modelling and visualisation capabilities in the transportation design sector, the Windowless Jet proposal was first conceived for the National Business Aviation Association show.

New Airline ‘La Compagnie’ Launches Exclusively Business-Class Service

The inaugural flight will take off from Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG) on July 11 to Newark International Airport (EWR).
Founder Frantz Yvelin announces the launch of an exclusively business-class airline, La Compagnie. Offering regularly scheduled service between Paris and New York City. “It is time to bring business-class air service back to where it belongs where personalized service is offered at respectable fares,” said Franz Yvelin.

The interior design offers 74 “lie-flat” seats creating a 2×2 configuration throughout a single aisle cabin with no dividing class curtain. Overhead luggage bins are amply sized. The interior cabin is sleek and stylized with leather headrests and armrests in La Compagnie’s signature baby blue. Additional interior tones are muted: from the wood grain of wallboards to the blue-speckled grey carpeting.

La Compagnie’s next Boeing 757-200 aircraft will be delivered in December 2014. The B 757-200 is the best plane adapted for La Compagnie’s cross-Atlantic route: it has a range of 3,900 nautical miles and modern winglets to cut fuel consumption.

Honda is making a luxury jet – HondaJet

Advanced technology and almost a decade of work has been put into this jet, that is going to be on sale in 2015.

The NFL technology were applied to the design of the HondaJet to reduce aerodynamic drag.
That means that this engineering innovation contributes to some of the qualities as increased fuel efficiency and high cruising speed. That makes this aircraft a lightweight stricture with heavyweight performance.

Thanks to the light yet strong carbon fiber composite fuselage, there is an increased cabin space, better performance and of course greater fuel efficiency.
The Garmin® G3000 next-gen all glass avionics system makes the flight easier and intuition based, and it is also touchscreen.
The control is enchanced with the dual touchscreen controlers and the three 14-inch landscape high-resolution displays.

It is operated either as a single-pilot or dual-pilot and will be available at a price around $4.5million.

The Citation X is built by the Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas.

The whole design objective was to fit in a trans Atlantic range with in a mid size package that can travel faster than any other aircraft in the world. The Cessna Citation X uses Allison AE 300 7A engines – equipped with FADEC which gives it the capacity to run at 703 miles per hour making it one of the fastest modes for civilian transport. This fast jet offers a nearly 24-foot-long cabin with eight executive seats, a full refreshment center, a spacious lavatory, and a baggage compartment that can hold 72 cubic feet of luggage.

Dassault Falcon 7X

Dassault propelled aviation into the twenty-first century with the Falcon 7X –  the first business jet with a digital flight control system. The aircraft has an MMO (Maximum Operating Mach Number) of Mach 0.90, allowing quick climbs and descents. Capable of transporting 14 people, the 7X has become quite popular with jet customers. So far Dassault has already delivered 180 7X’s. Price range around $50 Million.

Bombardier Global 8000

The Bombardier Global 8000 is amongst the finest of the private jets offered today. Key routes in the jet’s range include Los Angeles–Sydney, Hong Kong–New York, and Mumbai–New York.  Capable of carrying 8 passenger at a Mach 0.9 high-speed cruise the Global 8000 is sure to please even  the most demanding jet clients. Embracing a design philosophy focused on customer needs and the overall travel experience Bombardier has put a lot of effort into the design of the interior. In the aft, a stateroom provides ‘home-like’ master bedroom comfort and intimacy. It can even be equipped with a stand-up shower. In the cabon, a proper diner table with comfortable chairs serves just as good as a conference table.

“Why be at the front of the pack, when Bombardier’s Global 8000 aircraft flies you high above them?”
