Produced by Kodewa Performance Motorcycles for Lotus, the new C-01 is made of titanium, carbon fiber, and aerospace-grade steel. Confederate G2 P51 Combat Fighter
With an aesthetic approach referred to as “skeletal minimalism,” Louisiana-based Confederate Motorcycles overtook competition with the debut of its G2 P51 Combat Fighter in 2014. Designed by Jon Kaase, the second-generation Combat version features the company’s proprietary monocoque construction made entirely of 6061 aerospace billet aluminium. The 500-pound road has a V-twin engine capable of producing 200 ft lbs of torque and over 200 hp. Only 17 of the 61 examples planned to be produced are still available and are priced at $125,000 in raw aluminum and $130,000 in anodized black.
The ExperiMental by Canada’s Goldammer Cycle is a spectacular fusion of dirt bike and road racer. Constructed on a reengineered Honda cr250r chassis, it combines an Aprilia-designed Rotax engine, and an Aprilia 5-gear transmission—all enveloped with aluminum bodywork. Developed in 2006 as an entry for the Discovery Channel show Biker Build-Off, the motorcycle not only won the competition but went to become a classic. Available as one of six models in Goldammer’s collection, the ExperiMental retails for $450,000.
