Cessna Citation CJ3+

A latest offering from Cessna is an upgrade to the CJ3 with a new avionics system and increased range capabilities. The new CJ3+ will be equipped with Garmin’s most advanced flight deck, the G3000 touch-screen avionics suite. The model was announced in March and had its fist light in July. Now the CJ3+ is ready for deliveries.

The new light-jet model seats up to nine passengers (it includes two pilot seats, six main cabin seats, and one belted potty). Cessna installed the new M2-style seats in the CJ3+, giving the cabin a more modern look. It flies up to 2,070 miles nonstop and it’s driven by two Williams International Fj44-3A turbofan engines. The CJ3+ travels at cruise speed of up to 416 mph and will carry up to a half ton of baggage. The G3000 avionics suite includes turbulence detecting weather radar, TCAS II, advanced Terrain Awareness Warning Systems (TAWS), and automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) capabilities.

“The CJ3+ incorporates the latest in technology for the cockpit and for the passenger cabin which is exactly what the customer has asked us to do, and that has always been a hallmark of Cessna’s new product innovations,” said Chris Hearne , vice president, Jets.

With new interior, a redesigned cabin and a G3000 cockpit, the CJ3+ sells for about $8.44 million.
