The newest member of Falcon Jet family has arrived. Dassault unveiled Model 8X at the 2014 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Geneva. The Ultra Long Range Dassault Falcon 8X private jet is an upgrade from the earlier 7X model.
French luxury Falcon 8X with up to 16 windows per side will offer a range of 6,450 nm (11,945 km), or about 500 nm more than the 7X, making nonstop flights possible between Beijing and New York, Hong Kong and Seattle, and Paris and Singapore. It will feature a 42.6 ft. (13 meter)-long cabin, the longest cabin of any Falcon!
The cockpit will feature the latest version of the Dassault’s EASy integrated flight deck, including SVS and EVS in the left seat HUD, next generation FMS and digital flight control system. Power will come from three Pratt & Whitney Canada turbofans. It will feature more than 30 different floor plants, including the galley location, lounge, seat areas and layout options for the lavatory and shower.
The price tag for Falcon 8X is $58 million USD and should be available for delivery in mid 2016 in the United States and worldwide. The first 8X is under construction now and it will feature a fuselage that is nearly 4 feet longer than the 7X.
