The estate has its private drive that ends at the 18th-century Spanish gates. Twisting eucalyptus and olive trees surround the main six-bedroom home, which comprises a 10,500-square-foot, two-story abode built in the 1930s. Designed by master architect Wallace Frost, it is built from local stone with a barrel-tiled roof.

Now, the estate includes the adjacent properties and has been expanded to a total of 17 acres. There is an entertainment pavilion called Jordan Hall, which was inspired by the main house. The open-concept pavilion consists of a cream-colored pool table, cantilevered stone bar, and fireplace.

DeGeneres described the property as a blend of natural space and light, and modern architecture with a rustic feel.  Arched picture windows frame the trees to the ocean views, peeking beyond generous loggias.
