А monumental piece has been created by Four distinguished French luxury houses and is made available under the name of L’Odyssée d’Un Roi. This is a worthy tribute to the cognac’s historic journeys through the ages, as the collaboration features Louis XIII, renowned fashion house Hermès, cristallerie Saint-Louis and silversmiths Puiforcat. To create an object of unparalleled quality and originality to honour the luxury travel heritage of Louis XIII, each house has relied on its own centuries-old savoir-faire.
The end result is several objects of art that will be presented as part of traveling exhibition in the course of one year that will visit the capitals of several countries. The composition is made of elements that each of the four maisons has created – a leather trunk hand-stitched by Hermès (sfour glasses and a crystal decanter mouth-blown and decorated with 19th-century maps by Saint-Louis artisans and a white-gold pipette by Puiforcat to complement the rare blend of Louis XIII. The liquor is the effort of more than 50 artisans who have spent over 1,000 hours on every piece of L’Odyssée d’Un Roi to achieve a truly phenomenal taste and texture. The exceptional blend is the result of the collaboration of Baptiste Loiseau and Remy Martin Cellar Master since 2014, alongside Cellar Master Pierrette Trichet and is an assemblage of eaux-de-vie from Grande champagne.
