Mercedes has done it again, by coming up with the ultimate luxury SUV. The super posh Vision Maybach is all set to challenge and supersede the level of luxury of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. A first glimpse of the Vision Maybach at the Beijing Motor Show has impressed and turned heads! This limo off-roader is the epitome of luxury driving in hostile surroundings and across all terrain.
Astonishing Levels of Luxury
The bespoke freshness of the Vision Maybach envelopes the rear passengers in unprecedented levels of luxury and comfort. The passengers are surrounded with relaxing waves of blue light and a bone china tea set. The luxurious SUV segment has already seen Bentley and Lamborghini launch their 4x4s, and Rolls-Royce and Ferrari are set to follow. The German automaker aims to blend exquisite limousine comfort with the adventurous ride of a 4×4 off-roader.
Under the Bonnet
The smooth body lines of the Vision Maybach hides a monster 740 bhp, fully electric powerhouse that can propel the Vision to a top speed of 155 mph, and driven conservative, the SUV can reach a range of 311 miles between charges. Incredibly, with a five-minute charge utilising the fast-charging functionality, the vehicle adds another 100 miles to its already impressive range. With Mercedes launching a luxury SUV, it follows recent trends that have seen luxury car makers move into this lucrative niche. Bentley, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Rolls-Royce all going down that road. The price tag of the Vision Maybach can be expected to reach six figures.
Size Does Matter!
With the new Vision Maybach measuring in at 5.3 metres long, 2.1 metres wide, and a height of 1.8 metres, size does matter, and the Vision has loads of it! The front grill, which resembles a railing, has LED headlights that pierce the darkness like a knife through butter! There are Mercedes logos at the front and rear, with the roof-engulfing panoramic window giving an impression of space and light. The exterior of the body is adorned with stylish chrome, with shiny metal all around the wheel arches and skirting. The wheels prop up the car with enormous 24-inch alloys, giving the prestigious vehicle a ‘visionary’ outlook, thus the name; Vision.
