The AugustaWestland AW139 is a medium-sized twin-engined helicopter. Originally it was designed and developed by Agusta and Bell helicopters and marked as the Agusta-Bell AB139, but later when Bell withdrew from the project the helicopter was redesignated as AW139.
The AW139 is powered by two FADEC-controlled Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6C turboshaft engines. It has a modular glass cockpit and the four-axis autopilot, which enables functions such as an auto-hover capability. The AugustaWestland AW139 can accommodate up to 15 passengers.
