Bugatti’s engineers have in mind for the finished product. An incredible 1,627bhp and 1,500Nm of torque is reported from a hybrid adaptation of the Veyron’s 8.0-litre W16 engine.
That means some scarcely believeable figures are claimed: 0-62mph in two seconds flat and ‘more than’ 270mph, although whether or not these are overly ambitious for the production model remains to be seen.
Expect to see the Bugatti Chiron in some form at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.
