Improved driving dynamics and an even better racetrack performance characterize the SLS AMG GT Roadster Final Edition. With a maximum output of 435 kW (591 hp), it once again raises the bar quite a bit. The GT version of the AMG 6.3-liter V8 rear-set front engine responds much more agilely to the slightest movements of the accelerator and provides excellent performance characteristics. The AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission is extremely direct in the “M” manual mode: due to newly developed gearshift functions and an optimized gear control, it was possible to shorten the reaction time significantly. The AMG RIDE CONTROL Performance suspension in the SLS AMG GT Roadster Final Edition goes without the “Comfort” mode; on the other hand, it has generally stiffer spring / damper tuning. A look at the acceleration figures underlines the racer claim: the Roadster accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. 200 kph is attained in 11.2 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 320 km/h.
