The iconic brand of Riva has announced plans to build a new 50 meter superyacht. The previous largest Riva was the 122ft Mythos, which was launched three months ago, but the new Riva with 164-footer will become the new king of the sea. The first 50-meter yacht by Riva will be built in the Group’s shipyards in Ancona.
“Carlo Riva’s idea to build large yachts is finally turning into reality. Riva is ready to step into this market segment as a leader,” said Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group.
Riva 50-meter will contain steel hulls and aluminum superstructures. It will be a displacement yacht with 4 decks, with luxurious accommodation for up to twelve guests, as well as 9 crew. The crew will have a dedicated stairway leading up to the main-deck galley and farther up to the wheelhouse. The sun deck will feature freestanding seats plus a Jacuzzi while the aft area on the lower deck will feature a real beach club, a cocktail bar and an indoor living room.
Power will come from either twin CAT C32s or a pair of MAN D2862 LE 466 engines. Both are capable of pushing the yacht to a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots and she will have a range of 3,800 nm at 11 knots. Besides this project Ferretti also plans to introduce a 68-meter yacht, before continuing up to a maximum length of 100m.
